Follow SO’s top runners at Jukola
As a prelude to the SE Relays the 1600 team overnight Jukola relay will be taking place in Finland this evening. Top SO runners Jack Leitch, Ali Masson and Jonny Crickmore will be competing.

Summer Trail Runs started on April 25th
The popular Tuesday evening trail runs started with a run around Hickstead / Sayers Common. A variety of routes will be available each week from around 3km up to 10km. No controls or timing, just an excuse to go for a run with like minded people.

Alistair Masson selected to run for GB at JWOC
Congratulations to Ali who will represent Great Britain at the Junior World Championships in July.
Trail O success for Matt Leitch
The national Trail-O championships were held in conjunction with BOC and saw Matt win a gold medal for being the top junior (and beat his dad as well).
Heap Juniors win British Relay Title
On day 2 of the British Championships Tommy was joined on the top of the podium by siblings Stan and Scarlet as together they won the Junior Ad Hoc relay trophy.
Tommy Heap: British Champion
When many others were running in circles around High Dam, Tommy kept his cool to win M12A by almost four minutes. Also on the podium was Ali Masson 3rd in M20E.

TempO and PreO successes for the Leitch family
Kenny and Matt Leitch earned podium places for their performances in this precision form of orienteering.
Many SO juniors on the JK relay podium
With Easter eggs being awarded to members of the first six junior relay teams there was much munching of chocolate going on in the club tent. The best performance was from our mini relay team of Heather High, Kieran Fitzpatrick and Ella Boyle who finished second in their race.
Mike Gammon becomes JK Champion
Many congratulations to Mike for winning the M85 category at the JK. Joining him on podium were Stan and Tommy Heap who both got Silver medals for their performances in M16 and M12 respectively.
