SO Successes at BOC

Jack Leitch (M18) selected for Watch Squad
SO junior Jack Leitch has joined the British Orienteering squad aimed at athletes capable of selection for international competition in the current year.
Junior squad hits 20 medal season target
A massive 10 medal haul at the South East Long Distance Championships saw the junior squad achieve its season’s target with plenty of events in reserve.

The next delivery of Trimtex shirts will be at the end of March 2015. All sizes will then be available.
SO Juniors perform at Midlands Championships
There were top performances from our elite junior athletes at Cannock Chase today. There were wins for Scarlet Heap (W12) and Stanley Heap (M14). Jack Leitch took the silver position on M18E and Tommy Heap was 3rd on M10. Full results.
Congratulations to our new Southern Champions Scarlet and Sue
At the Southern Championships held on Feb 8th Scarlet Heap (W12) and Susan Parker (W75) beat all competition from members of Southern clubs to be crowned area champions.

Göran Andersson has produced a new online resource for anyone involved in running sessions in primary schools: Orienteering ages 6-12
Updated Purple Pen instructions
The club recommends that planners use this freeware software when producing their courses. To facilitate its use updated instructions have been uploaded to the Organiser and Planner Resource area of the website.
SO Junior to run for England
Congratulations to Jack Leitch who has been selected to represent England at the Junior Home International competition on 30/31 August 2014.
