Comments CSL 12th Chichester
Well done to all the groups who took part on what was a very unpleasant day. Excluding parents, there were at least 80 cubs, scouts and explorer scouts taking part in 31 teams.
Apart from two club teams taking part on orange, all the rest of the yellow and orange participants were from the cubs and scouts!
In all there were 70 'units' talking part of which 31 were the scouts/cubs/ explorers.
Sorry that the times look odd for control 126. It was out of synchronisation giving the impression that you travelled back in time to the next control!
The overall times are correct.
A big thank you to Southdowns Orienteers for letting us use their courses - Robin Smith Planner, SI team led by Ralph Phillips, Registration (club) Simon Thraves and Barrie Pearson
Also thanks to George Barrett who helped at the start and with car parking, Suzanne Barrett who helped on the scout/cub registration and Tony Tunnell, Tony Longland and Karin who managed to get 60 cars in on the gravelled track.
I will get round to the groups to present the trophies and either present certificates or post them to the other groups.
Apologies for any errors in the team names - there were a lot of corrections to make.

Pre event info

There is a pre-event coaching session at 9:30 which is the perfect opportunity to train, take on board some coaching tips and tune-in to the terrain.

SOG Series Info

SOGs are friendly club events where children and newcomers are very welcome. Yellow and Orange courses are suitable for children to run on their own with a bit of practice. Adults are welcome to shadow children until they are confident to go on their own. Green and Blue courses are run or walked by any age group - you can race competitively or just enjoy the woodland.

There are two series of events - autumn and spring of approximately 8 events each. Electronic timing (SI) is used.

Help on the day always appreciated.
