Report

Thank you so much for coming to my event today, it was particularly nice to see so many new faces - well done for giving it a go. A big thank you to everyone who helped with parking, setting up, control collecting, road crossings, map printing, kit supply, SI team and all those other jobs that go unseen. I really enjoyed planning on this area and wanted to make the courses as technical and diverse as possible with varying terrain, leg lengths, loops, and lots of twists and turns - and a good smattering of mud. The map gives you a false sense of confidence and looking at the results I think many people were caught out at one point or another. I particularly enjoyed watching my younger brother fly past control one on the blue. Thanks again. Scarlet.

RouteGadget

Is a web app for sharing and comparing orienteering routes. You can draw your own route or upload a GPS track from your watch. It also allows you to watch an animated replay with a simulated mass start.

Pre event info

Fast and furious we're expecting some quick times - if you can keep your head navigating Scarlet's courses. Last chance to run on this great area for a while, so come and enjoy it at its best. The bracken is flat and the going is good!

SOG Series Info

SOGs are friendly club events where children and newcomers are very welcome. Yellow and Orange courses are suitable for children to run on their own with a bit of practice. Adults are welcome to shadow children until they are confident to go on their own. Green and Blue courses are run or walked by any age group - you can race competitively or just enjoy the woodland.

There are two series of events - autumn and spring of approximately 8 events each. Electronic timing (SI) is used.

Help on the day always appreciated.
