RouteGadget

Is a web app for sharing and comparing orienteering routes. You can draw your own route or upload a GPS track from your watch. It also allows you to watch an animated replay with a simulated mass start.

Pre event info

A 40 minute fun activity around the Chiddinglye Estate followed by a Pie and craft beer in the taproom at Missing Link Brewing.

6:20pm briefing, 6:30 mass start, 7:30 Pie Night.

Missing Link Brewing will be supplying delicious homemade pies and craft beers in their taproom. Made by The Garden Chef these pies (£13.50) come with mash and optional seasonal greens (£2.50). Pie fillings include: smoky bean (vegetarian); steak and ale; bang bang chicken; bbq bork belly.

Directions / Parking

The google pin takes you to the estate entrance. Follow the small O kites to parking.

Course Information

40 minute adventure.

Juniors to be shadowed.

Decent head-torch required as you'll be searching for high viz reflective tapes.

Please bring backup lighting.

Compass also recommended.

Cagoule suggested in case of poor weather. Whistles recommended.

Food is all pre-ordered. Anyone not wishing to attend having already pre-entered must let me know ASAP or else I'll have to eat and pay for two pies.

Maps at the start. Scale is as big as it can be on A4 paper. Mapped for Orienteering.

Terrain Description

Full leg cover and O shoes recommended. Terrain is mainly field grass and meadows with some woodland running. Please wash shoes before coming.

Dog restrictions

Only on leads.

Facilities

Toilets available in the Taproom, no muddy shoes or studs.

Please change in cars after you have run.
