The Big Poll

Last Updated: Sun 16 Feb 2020

With a number of events coming up in the next couple of months where we would like to see you participate, either as competitors or as helpers, we have set up a poll for you to indicate your availability for these. It would be helpful if all club members could complete the poll - even if you are unavailable for all.

The poll does not require you to register / login just go to the following website and enter your name and availability.

March 8th - qualifying round of the Yvette Baker Trophy. This poll is just for our juniors so that we can see who is likely to be available to travel to the qualifying round. Please enter availability by Feb 29th

March 15th - qualifying round of the CompassSport Cup. Last year we came 3rd in this competition - one for all of the orienteering clubs in the UK! This year's qualifying round is hosted by LOK on Hampstead Heath. No details are available as yet but since entries have to be made by the club captain please indicate availability by Feb 24th.

March 22nd - British Championship Relays. These are hosted by our own association this year at an area near Liphook. Although as a club we will be providing a lot of the helpers for this event we shall still be entering a variety of teams - from competitive to social ones. Please indicate availability by Feb 16th to take advantage of cheaper entries.

April 13th - JK Relays. Although the JK is being held in the North York Moors quite a few club members will be attending. Once again we will be putting together a variety of teams. Please indicate availability by Mar 15th.

March 21nd/22nd - British Championships. As mentioned above these are being hosted by SE clubs. SO has a number of roles at this event: Club Captain Neil Crickmore is the planning coordinator as well as arena manager while Anna Chapman is overseeing prize-giving. We have been asked to provide helpers mainly for the Sunday (22nd) but if you can only help on the Saturday (or indeed both days) your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Ed Forman will be co-ordinating our helpers so expect further information and requests from him in due course.
