200+ pupils took part in the 2nd annual orienteering sports day today around the Michael Hall school grounds, known to many of us as Kidbrooke Park in Forest Row. Children aged 12-18 raced around six different courses in some welcome sunshine. Four school 'teams' were battling it out, which made for some exciting viewing and lots of excited children!

This event could not take place without the huge generosity and patience of our SO volunteers. Les and Ralph did an amazing job configuring the software to accept 200+ runners across 4 teams on 6 courses with live results. They were ably backed up by Di and Sylvia on dibber registration, Nick on the start (brave man) and Mike on the Naughty Numbers Maze (very brave man). Kate and I and the school would like to say a massive thank you for all your efforts.

It's really great to see the majority of children coming back with rosy cheeks and a real sense of achievement and we hope to see some of those new faces at club events in the future.
