A busy time ahead for team SO

March and April are a busy time for SO members with the regional heats of both the CompassSport Cup and the Yvette Baker trophy taking place as well as the British Orienteering Championships and JK which both involve team relays.
At the time of writing we have 111 members entered for the CompassSport Cup event at Worth. An unlucky number for the cricketers amongst us but a tremendous turnout and actually only two other clubs in the South East have a total membership greater than this number. The weekend after our juniors are in action at Balcombe in the Yvette Baker Trophy before many SO members head for the Chilterns for the British Championships. We have 11 relay teams entered for this ranging from our youngest juniors to our over 80s. The JK is in the Lake District over the Easter weekend and it looks as though we may have 8 or 9 relay teams there. At each of these events we should have a club tent there where club members can congregate and leave kit.
