Well, it was a bit wet underfoot! In the case of the route to control 70 the water was approaching waist deep! (Sorry about that, who would have thought it would have been raining again?)

I was impressed with the turnout, clearly a hardy bunch! Fortunately it had stopped raining before the start and most runners seemed to have enjoyed themselves.

Is a web app for sharing and comparing orienteering routes. You can draw your own route or upload a GPS track from your watch. It also allows you to watch an animated replay with a simulated mass start.

Southdown's 2nd contribution to the Kent Night Cup league this time involving a three-loop race around the surprisingly confusing terrain of Tilgate golf course.

Directions / Parking

Parking at the Lakeside (aka Fisherman's) car park just before the golf club car park. Free in the evenings.

Course Information

Three loops of 7 controls (70-76, 80-86, 90-96) and a changeover control (100). You can start at whatever control on whichever loop you like and then complete as much of that loop as you want. Before starting on another loop you must punch control 100. Controls within each loop can be taken in whatever order you like. Once you have punched the changeover control you can't go back to a loop that you have already started.

'Dibber' hire: Electronic punching (SI) chips are available to hire. SIAC (contactless): £2, non-SIAC (not contactless) £1. Half price for juniors.
