Online entries now open for Sunny Sussex event in May

Last Updated: Fri 16 Feb 2018

Enter now or save the date for Sunny Sussex, our weekend of Orienteering in the High Weald. Two regional events on Sat 12th May and a national event on Sun 13th May. All events close together, making for a great social occasion.

Rivers Wood Middle distance race including SE Middle Distance Championships is set in the Sussex Ouse Valley. Competitors will need to keep their concentration across the undulating woodland and adjoining countryside as there is an extensive but irregular path network. (NB: In order to be competitive for the SE Championships, you need to be a member of SEOA and to enter the relevant course as set out on the second page of the Sunny Sussex flyer.)

Goffs Park Sprint race in the evening offers lots of variety within a small area. Many natural features and a selection of man-made features should make for a fast and furious sprint race.

Worth Lodge long distance race including the SE round of the YBT takes place in Wealden woodland with extensive runnable forest incised by feature rich stream valleys, part of which has never before been used for Orienteering. All maps are newly surveyed for the weekend.

We plan to have string courses for the children on both Saturday and Sunday.
