SO were at the TAKEPART day (part of the Brighton and Hove International festival of Sport) at Preston Park on Saturday 19 June.
Many local sports clubs offered chances to have a go at their activities. The park was full of things to do and exciting spectacles to watch! SO provided free string and “Challenge the Grid” courses to give a sample of some of the facits of the sport of orienteering.

Many thanks to all SO members who spent time in Preston Park today helping to run the event. The weather stayed dry, although at times chilly, and we certainly spoke to a lot of people who tried either the string course or the grid course or both.
