Calling all club members - all ages & abilities - help us to qualify for the final of this sociable inter-club competition.
We should have a pretty good chance of progressing to the final once again especially if we can turn out in force. All ages and abilities have the potential to make a difference to our final score.
The preliminary round of the annual inter-club competition - CompassSport Cup is early next year - Jan 13th to be precise. We have been drawn against Happy Herts and Saxons at the SE round hosted by DFOK at an extended Shorne Country Park, near Gravesend. further details
Entries are done via our club captain - Neil Crickmore, so let him know if you are available to compete and if you have any preferred start time (early/mid/late). Any club member can enter, if you have any concerns about running feel free to e-mail/talk to Neil or any other regular orienteer. The top 25 runners from each club score (but these have to come from a wide range of age classes) but even those not in the top 25 can help the club by reducing the scores of other clubs’ runners.
Costs are quite reasonable £6 for seniors and £2.50 for juniors, money is not needed prior to entering but Neil will chase you for it sometime.
The final is on Oct 19th - we believe at Sutton Park, near Birmingham. Keep the date free just in case!
