Southdowns Orienteers

Robert Sweatman wins Devil’s Dyke Trail-O

Despite a 20 year absence from orienteering, Portsmouth based Sweatman beat Southdowner Simon Thraves into second place by almost four minutes. At the mid-point water station, the Pompey runner had opened up a sizeable lead which stood him in good stead for the descent into the Dyke. Conditions were dry under foot but this didn’t prevent leading Hedgehopper John Harding from taking a dive in the closing stages. Photos and Results.
