Really glad I came to Parham today. The alternative was Old Windmill Hill, which technically is a better area (Parham will never be used for a World Cup), but I’ve run there many times. Parham was a new area for me. I thought Blue was well-planned, and being more in ‘training’ mode than ‘race’ mode, I accepted the planners invitation to run straight on almost every leg. The map was better than for last week’s National too.
My run also enables me to make a contribution to the Ricky Wise memorial excuse list: I used my car as an attack point, but hadn’t parked quite where I thought.

Thank you to all who came and made the event so memorable. It was lovely to see Helen and so many of the family enjoying the forest. The proceeds from the event, after land fees etc., were 134GBP and we raised a fantastic 166GBP in the donation box. I will therefore be sending a cheque for 300GBP to Cancer Research in Ricky’s memory.
