SO Success at the London City Race

The fourth London City Race took place last Saturday, 10th September, several SO members travelled to the Barbican Centre to take part.

The event centre and start/finish of the race was in the middle of the Barbican Centre in the City of London. The Barbican is a very complex and confusing area, with three different levels mapped on top of one another, leading to some very confused looks and scratching of heads throughout the race.

The race is a full length classic course, just run in an urban environment and is held by our neighbours South London (SLOW) annually. It has grown to over 1100 runners taking part in this years race, which was a very interesting sight for the general public who were around and had no idea what was going on!

Congratulations to the following on their success:

Julia Jarvis - 3rd Womens Vets (W40+)
Thomas Jarvis - 4th Childrens Course (M/W12 -)

Also an excellent 7th place for Nick Jarvis on the Juniors course (M/W16 -)

Full results and photos can be found on the website plus some additional photos from Rob Lines can be found here.
