Excitement at Preston Park as Sprint race kicks off the summer series

There were some great courses at Saturday’s event, and plenty of post-race talking points. Photos and Results. In 2008 there was controversy over competitors jumping the rose beds, and in 2009 there was plenty more of the same. One commentator on the forum suggested we were all taking it just a little bit too seriously. :)

The event had everything: challenging courses, decent weather, people helping each other when it wasn’t wanted, a hint that the circles in the south weren’t clear enough, and that perennial favourite - Out of Bounds (OOB) areas. The forum has been on fire.
The overall winner was Neil Crickmore with a time of 18:09, just off a 5 min/Km pace. Neil attributed some of his success to studying the 2008 map on Routegadget. Last year’s Hawth map is here for those who want to check out this coming Saturday’s terrain.

The tables will be available in the next 24 hours.
