SO will be attending a number of community events this year where we will offer taster sessions for a variety of ages to help to publicise the club. I’m looking for some enthusiastic helpers who would like to help encourage new people to try the sport. We will run a string course, a grid and/or a yellow course at these events. The event dates and times are as follows:

Sat 17 May A Day on the Downs, Devils Dyke 9:00 to 12:30 and/or 12:00 to 15:30
Sun 18 May A Day on the Downs, Devils Dyke 9:00 to 12:30 and/or 12:00 to 15:30
Sat 28 June Take Part, Brighton 9:00 to 13:00 and/or 12:30 to 16:30
Sun 6 Jul Park Fest, Horsham 10:00 to 14:00 and/or 13:30 to 17:30
Sun 14 Sep Family Sports Fun Day, Chichester 10:00 to 13:30 and/or 13:00 to 16:30

I’m still in need of two more people on each day of this coming weekend to help with the Day on the Downs event. Can anyone help please?

I am particularly short between 9:00 and 12:30 on both days.

Duties involve setting the tent up, setting out info and courses and some simple explanation about what Orienteering is about - it’s all quite rewarding.
