Federation Week 2008

French Orienteering Championships in the Côtes d’Armor, Brittany

Saturday 16th August 2008 to Saturday 23rd August 2008

Le CDCO 22 and the Breton Orieteering clubs (Brest, Dinan, Lorient, Quimper,Rennes & St Brieuc), are happy to welcome you to Brittany.

We invite you to come to the best orienteering areas in this region, mostly within the beautiful forest of Quénécan, to the south of lake Guerlédan. You will enjoy running ‘in the white’ amongst numerous charbonnières, rocks and crags! All the championship maps will be updated by professional mappers.

The event centre (Mûr de Bretagne) will be close to the competition areas. Only 2 national events will be outside the Forest of Quénécan, Loudeac (national event area 2003) 30 kilometers away and l’île Grande, an extraordinary and original area (have you ever run on a beach at low tide over the Breton rocks?)

The week includes a score event, the precision national championships, sprint, middle distance & classic distance national and championship events and the French relay championsips.
