We have experienced problems when an email address is added to main text of an article in Expression Engine. Expression Engine should immediately interpret this as a hyperlink but recently it has resulted in all the following articles of that type not to be displayed on the webpage (eg. Events)

Presently, there is one sure way of entering email addresses. Many authors already use the HTML format for links to webpages.
For the time being, please use this format for entering email addresses.
This is

<a href="mailto:[email protected]">Email Name</a

where you put the email address at [email protected] and substitute Name with whoever the person is.

This way we won’t lose all the following events

I have now fixed the issue with the email addresses on the events home page.
It was an unusual combination of factors and only applied to the Officials section of an event’s details.

You only need to insert the address (ie. .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)) and it will automatically turn it into a link, it will also create a string of javascript code to hide the address from spam robots scanning the page.

If you use the HTML method in the previous post you will not be concealing the address from spammers.
