I use an RSS Client (SharpReader) to monitor websites (that support RSS) but since the new Southdowns website launch I only see the first message on a topic in the forum and subsequent messages don’t appear.
I think this was also the case when NopeSport upgraded to a new “forum engine” but has since been fixed i.e. I now see all posts.
I could see all posts on the old website - can any “tweeks” be done to the new Southdowns website RSS to get this to work again?

All works fine in my RSS reader (Awasu).

RSS readers sometimes have “hidden settings” over which posts they show or do not show and RSS feeds can trigger these settings in different ways - it is sometimes worth deleting and re-joining the feed. Let me know if it does not work and we will start investigating.

Thanks Chris, I’ve tried deleting and re-adding the feed. I’ll see how we get on with that and let you know.

It depends what page you are on when you subscribe.
If you view the RSS feed for this page you will only see items from this section.
If you subscribe from the Forum Home page you get all sections.
That way you can just monitor a section that interests you.

I subscribed at the Forum Home Page level.

Having resubscribed, SharpReader still did not show new posts to existing topics which it used to do with the old website/forum.

I’ve had a look at Awasu and it looks interesting and perhaps better than SharpReader (and SharpReader doesn’t seem to be actively developed anymore) so don’t waste any time on this at the moment. I’ll see how I get on with Awasu.

Test message to see if RSS client picks it up

Awasu failed to tell me that there was a new message posted on the “RSS” Topic.

With the Nopesport forum RSS feed I can see when a new post is made to an existing thread. (The old Southdowns Forum used to do this also).

Any ideas? I have a couple of screen shots but I couldn’t work out how to include them in this post.

I am investigating the issue.
At the moment it only picks up and shows the first post of a thread. I’m looking at how/if the code for the feed can be changed to show all posts.
