Just to say I have completed the planning for Wolstonbury next week, with Julia’s advice and guidance.
Parking is the usual place, the minor public road below the hill on the SW side of the hill. You just have to come off the A273/A23 following signs to Pyecombe, pass the George pub, keep going and you’ll find it. Please do avoid using the very end of the road near the access track, as it’s a bit tight here for the resident’s access.
The courses are something different, focusing on route choice and control picking in the nice areas around the top and SW flank, there’s no long legs out to the sides of the map, and not too much climb.
Yellow and Orange have an especially nice safe and fun run round around the hill top fort.
A lovely hill, have been trawling around some very steep and wet areas tonight eliminating a few wrinkles, but every time I’ve been up there over the last few weeks, it’s had a different mood and always lovely views.
Thanks to Mike Baron for all his help, and Mike Gammon for printing, we’ll (me, Lindy and Mike) be out late on Friday and early on Saturday so hopefully everything will be just right, and we’ll look forward to seeing you all on Saturday.
Tim and Linda Hulley
