Help needed for Xmas Score at Selhurst - Thu 27th December 2012

Hi everyone,

Typing this on a very wet Sunday afternoon and, having got soaked on both days this weekend, I’m putting in a request to Father Christmas to give us a crisp, sunny day for the Xmas Score!

Simon Thraves has volunteered to plan the event this year and we are looking for some kind volunteers to make it all run smoothly.

We need helpers for:

Road Signs

Car parking - this needs someone who is a dab hand at packing them in! As this is generally a smaller event (roughly the same as a SOG in numbers plus maybe a few more people wanting to run off the extra mince pies!!) I would like to keep parking mainly in the car park and any parking on forest tracks to a minimum.

Registration tent set up and SI (one person in charge and at least one helper)

Map sales / EOD

SI and registration

Results display

Starts and Finishes

Control Collection

Helpers needed for Angmering SOG

Four helpers are needed to man a quiet road crossing at the SOG at Angmering on Saturday Feb 25th.

There will be two shifts - 10 - 11am and 11 - 12.30, the start will be held open to allow the early shift helpers to run also.

Help needed at SOG1 Devil’s Dyke

I’m looking for some volunteers to help at the SOG1 event at Devil’s Dyke on the 8th Oct.
In particular I need some map sellers, and some help in putting out controls and collecting them in.

My helpers schedule is nearly complete but we have just lost a couple of people who were going to help with control collection so if there are any of you who are willing to help with this please let me know. Three volunteers would be preferable.

Other than that if there are any juniors who are familiar with the SI download system who would be willing to help with downloads from 12:30 onwards that would be much appreciated.

Some good news… Besides Tom’s Burger Van being present at the event, Ultrasport have today contacted me to say that they will be coming too so, if you need any new kit, bring your bendy plastic!

Help needed for Selhurst Park level C event: 2nd October 2011

We are looking for volunteers to help at the Selhurst Park Level C event on 2nd October 2011.

This event also incorporates the SE round of the Yvette Baker Trophy so hopefully we will get a good turnout.

The more volunteers we have, the more shifts we can incorporate, and the less time each person will need to spend doing their task. I will try to accommodate your wishes as to whether you would prefer to run before or after your shift.

So far we do not have a String course available but there is an area that lends itself to this so if anyone is willing to volunteer to do a String course that would be great!

Control Collection

First Aid - Will qualified First Aiders please volunteer a.s.a.p. as I need to complete the Risk Assessment with a named individual.
