Started orienteering as a junior in 1979. Previous member of: NOR (then “Norwich Orienteering Club” 1980-86); UBUOC (University of Bradford Orienteering Club 1985-86); MDDXO (Middlesex Orienteers 1987-1993). Member of Southdowns Orienteers since 1993/4. Former SO Club Captain; Vice Chairman; Chairman; and “The Southdowner” Newsletter Editor - Successional posts - not at the same time! Favourite orienteering is at night and in relays - best of all: both (e.g. The Harvester Trophy Relay). Interested in the technology associated with the sport of orienteering and have designed and built my own night orienteering headlamps since 1980.
