        <p><span style="color:blue;">Some help is required at the Club Handicap on Sat June 5th for the following jobs please:
<br />
<br />Car Parking &amp; Collecting parking money
<br />
Control Collecting afterwards
<br />
<br />Also, if anyone will be at the event, but not running, it would be appreciated if someone could man the finish and note down the first three Junior &amp; Senior finishers so we can present the Handicap trophy &amp; certificate at the AGM please.

        <p>Thank you to those who have already offered to help at the Angmering Park regional.
</p>
<p>
We are currently short of a few people to man the 2 Starts that we have for the event. 
<br />
Generally at a regional we like to have a minimum of 3 people on each start for each time slot:
</p>
<p>
The first to check the name of the competitor and clear dibbers.
<br />
The second to call competitors through the boxes to the front box and give last minute instructions.
<br />
The third to be in charge of pulling out the top map from each tray so that it is easy for the competitor to remove (this could be a job for a junior).
</p>
<p>
The time slots to be manned are 9:45am-11am or 11am-12pm so you can choose to do your run first or after helping (courses close at 2:30). We will aim to get helpers who are doing the second time slot away on their run between 9:45-10:00 as long as all the controls are set out and ready.
</p>

      <title>Helpers for Angmering Estate Regional 23rd May</title>

        <p>We are looking for volunteers to help at the Angmering Estate Regional on 23rd May.
</p>
<p>
A Regional event is run for more hours than the usual SOG so it is helpful to have shifts of people to do the different tasks.
</p>
<p>
If you have never helped at an event then a Regional is a good place to start as we will find a task to suit you!
</p>
<p>
The more volunteers we have, the less time each person will need to spend doing their task, and we will try to accommodate your wishes as to whether you would prefer to run before or after your shift.
</p>
<p>
We need helpers for:
</p>
<p>
Car parking
</p>
<p>
Map sales
</p>
<p>
Registration tent set up and SI (one person in charge and at least one helper)
</p>
<p>
Results display
</p>
<p>
Starts and Finishes
</p>
<p>
Meet n Greet
</p>
<p>
Control Collection
</p>
<p>
First Aid
</p>
<p>
Also, if there is someone who would like to organise a string course please let me know. There will be a Wayfarer course and courses ranging from White upwards.
</p>

        <p>I would be grateful for two more helpers at Great Walstead. Car Parking - relatively easy with plenty of parking on hard standing. Meet and Greet - an opportunity to share your enthusiasm for orienteering with others, encourage runners to take up Andy Bridge&#8217;s coaching offer and just have a little chat.

Great Walstead is looking great. I have spent a couple of days updating the map. Large areas of green are now rough open with scattered trees and quite crossable at this time of year.

        <p>Help is needed for the welcome desk please. This is mostly to explain our sport to newcomers and guide them towards entering an appropriate course, also to hire out dibbers.

Karen has volunteered and will explain the duties to anyone helping, but she&#8217;d like a run herself and the job requires at least two people, especially at the beginning, that&#8217;s four people if everyone has a run. So, if anyone is available ....... please!
