        <p>Due to a last minute change in plans, our team of five need someone else to help us out at Horsham Parkfest this Sunday, 6th July. Just a short stint from 12:00 to 15:00 would be really helpful as it tends to get very busy. Any offers to me please by forum, email or telephone 07729 729399.         <p>I have planned an event with a slight difference for Borde Hill next week so hope as many as possible can make it. Assuming someone steps up to help with putting the event on the computer, so we can use SI, publish results, etc, i have most of the bases covered. But I do need a couple of people to help with map sales and registration. Neither job should interfere with your getting a run.         <p>SO will be attending a number of community events this year where we will offer taster sessions for a variety of ages to help to publicise the club. I’m looking for some enthusiastic helpers who would like to help encourage new people to try the sport. We will run a string course, a grid and/or a yellow course at these events. The event dates and times are as follows:
</p>
<p>
Sat 17 May A Day on the Downs, Devils Dyke 9:00 to 12:30 and/or 12:00 to 15:30
<br />
Sun 18 May A Day on the Downs, Devils Dyke 9:00 to 12:30 and/or 12:00 to 15:30
<br />
Sat 28 June Take Part, Brighton    9:00 to 13:00 and/or 12:30 to 16:30
<br />
Sun 6 Jul Park Fest, Horsham 10:00 to 14:00 and/or 13:30 to 17:30
<br />
Sun 14 Sep Family Sports Fun Day, Chichester 10:00 to 13:30 and/or 13:00 to 16:30

        <p>Kent Night Cup – Round 24 – Paddock Wood Street O
</p>

Thursday 13 March 2008

Location/Parking: Mascalls School Maidstone Road Paddock Wood TN12 6LT.
</p>
<p>
Grid reference 671 438 on Ordnance Survey Sheet 188.
</p>
<p>
Public Transport: Railway station in Paddock Wood, 1.5 km/1mile from the school. 
</p>
<p>
Area/Map: 1:10,000. 2008 map drawn in OCAD by Dave Kingdon 
</p>
<p>
Times: Registration 19:00 – 19:15.
</p>
<p>
Mass start at 1930 prompt. 60 minute score. Course closes 2030. Late arrivals – maps &amp; clue sheets left at start/clear punch if I am not there. Please email if you want to start earlier. Please arrive in good time for the start.
</p>
<p>
Equipment: SPORT IDENT Dibbers to hire if you don’t have one. Bring a map bag (especially if raining), compass, whistle highly advised. Some sort of torch and a small back up/reserve. (Bring biggest headlamp you have as some controls will be in unlit areas).&nbsp; Remember to wear fluorescent top/vest and/or light coloured clothing. 
</p>
<p>
Cost: Free – but all contributions to the planner (Clare)’s gap year travel plans will be much appreciated!
</p>
<p>
Course: Suitable for all abilities 29/30 controls total. 
</p>
<p>
Prizes: A select few – at the pub afterwards.
</p>

        <p>Does any one have a step stool / small sturdy box that I could borrow for the JK prizegiving to make it easier to get on and off the podium &amp; staging please?

Also, is there anyone who lives relatively close to the JK Village at Crowborough who would be prepared to be on &#8220;standby&#8221; to help out with the prize giving on Sunday 23rd if the weather is too bad to hold it at the event?&nbsp; It would only mean a couple of hours in the evening.&nbsp; If you&#8217;re interested, please either PM me or leave a message below.
